Our CEO Gareth Presch has attended the book launch of “ONE HEALTH” Transformative Enterprises, Wellbeing and Education in the Knowledge Economy by Piero Formica
The book brings together a diverse collection of authors (Alan Barrell Fabio Maria Montagnino Peter Robbins, Oliver Schwabe and Nuno Almeida, Gareth Presch and Forward by Leif Edvinsson ) to examine the concept of One Health – the interlinking of the economy and the health of humans, other living beings, and nature – Piero Formica investigates how transformative enterprises and advanced technologies can improve the health of the planet and its people.
Exploring topics such as organizations as organisms, innovation and sustainability, healthcare and wellbeing, citizen engagement and more, One Health is a truly transdisciplinary collection.
The book advocates for an economically sustainable and harmonised future, the overarching and widely applicable subject matter appeals to both academia and policymakers and businesses, trade associations, foundations, business incubators, and health organizations.

Chapter 6 features the World Health Innovation Summit CIC (#WHIS) The Transformative Enterprise, Platform for the Sustainable Development and I was grateful to get the opportunity to share the work we’re doing globally to strengthen health systems, improve people’s health and wellbeing, create new and meaningful jobs while implementing the UN sustainable development goals.
Results show that WHIS can contribute to the creation and spreading of knowledge, involving experts, professionals, and people, and reinvesting efforts, value, and money back to the community in a circular way. New technologies can so enhance the creation of new sustainable business models and solutions able to increase the social value generated to “leave no-one behind”
The concept of value has changed in the last few years, from a purely economic or financial perspective to a value which must include the environment and the society, gathering together different stakeholders. The chapter aims at investigating the contribution of “platforms” in a critical sector, that of healthcare that can be adopted and scaled around the world.
The event was held at Maynooth University, Dublin Ireland and many thanks to Professor Martin Curley and his team.
