Since 2015 WHIS has been leading the way on building new alliances and partnerships between finance, economy and health sectors to find opportunities for new investments, strategies and approaches to address the challenges we face in healthcare (disabilities and inclusion, mental health, ageing, social isolation, gender equality, digital inclusion, climate action etc).
WHIS has been demonstrating how to reimagine the economy by creating new partnerships between sectors and stakeholders that have not collaborated in the past, such as the health, finance and economic sectors, to implement creative solutions that address health and development challenges such as aging societies, mental health, gender equality, urban-rural divides while strengthening health systems.
WHIS with it’s partners are now engaging governments and local authorities to create opportunities for new investments, strategies and approaches to fund projects that support economic growth while delivering benefits for multiple sectors while creating new and meaningful jobs at scale.
This approach enables the public and private sector to build trust.
WHIS does this by facilitating the exchange of innovations and knowledge from healthy cities and regions to enable governments to accelerate meaningful progress and ensure we leave no-one behind.
