Really enjoyed the discussion and sharing the insights and opportunities to create a health service based on prevention that improves people’s health and wellbeing, strengthens the health services, creates new and meaningful jobs while leaving no-one behind.
We discussed how I started my career in healthcare over 25 years ago in Ireland.
My work at Cumbria Partnership NHS Foundation Trust & how #WHIS started from a discussion Carlisle Ambassadors Kate Wilson Michelle Masters Debbie Kavanagh and how we’ve worked with partners to set up the Global Social Prescribing Alliance to share best practices in social prescribing 🌏🌍🌎
An important topic was Investment! Especially relevant after yesterday Economic Forum in Cumbria Cumberland Council Emma Porter
We went through bankable projects and the investment work we’ve started with Orora Montcalm TCR and how investors can invest in projects through our not for profit World Health Service or invest in our programmes (WHISKids, WHISatWork, WHISSeniors, WHISGreen etc) and how we are creating venture studio’s that attract impact investment locally to support new businesses, social housing, infrastructure projects etc.
