In England, there were 24,680 nursing applicants to higher education providers in January 2024, down from 27,370 applicants 12 months earlier and 33,410 in 2022.
The NHS has over 121,000 workforce vacancies, of which 42,000 are in nursing.
Unfortunately, this is a trend we’re seeing globally.
The projected shortage of health workers in Africa by 2030 is expected to be 6.1 million and globally this will be over 10 million.
During our proof of concept we worked with medical professionals to ensure we supported their professional development to IMPROVE PATIENT CARE and build community TRUST.
Key outcomes for the sampled professional participants are:
67% said “I have improved my professional network.”
63% said “I have better access to new and innovative ideas through WHIS.”
