Richard Serbin Joins WHIS as Advisor and US Leader
We’re delighted to announce that Richard Serbin has joined the World Health Innovation Summit (WHIS) as an advisor and lead in the United States, working alongside Anne-Marie Principe and Seb Raspanti to drive operations across the region.
Richard brings an extraordinary depth of expertise to WHIS, with more than 40 years of leadership across the healthcare, pharmaceutical, and life sciences sectors. A qualified pharmacist and attorney, he has served as an FDA Regulatory Attorney, Patent Attorney, and senior executive at global organizations including Revlon and Johnson & Johnson, where he also sat on the boards of sixteen operating companies.
As Managing Director of Platform Health Ventures, Richard provides strategic and tactical consulting services, guiding clients in licensing healthcare products and technologies across domestic and international markets. His impressive career includes serving as President, COO, and co-founder of numerous healthcare companies, many of which went on to achieve significant success and acquisitions.
Richard’s influence extends globally—he has been the Senior Advisor to the Swedish American Life Science Summit (SALSS) for the past 15 years, working alongside Nobel Laureates, corporate executives, and leading researchers. Beyond industry, he has also dedicated time to education, governance, and public service, including co-founding the Food and Drug Law Institute and teaching pharmacy law at Rutgers College of Pharmacy.
