The $12 Trillion Health Economy: A UNGA Call to Action for World Mayors

Why municipal leaders must shift from hosting generic tech conferences to anchoring permanent health innovation ecosystems.

As world leaders gather in New York for the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA), the global agenda is clear: sustainable development, economic resilience, and public health infrastructure are inextricably linked.

1. Multi-Year Foreign Direct Investment (FDI): Direct lines into institutional capital, corporate enterprise budgets, and international venture funds looking to co-locate R&D facilities.
2. Permanent Venture Studios: Structured incubation frameworks that take university spin-offs and local healthtech founders and scale them into global enterprises.
3. Upstream Population Health Outcomes: By embedding preventive health models—anchored by the Global Social Prescribing Alliance (GSPA)—cities address social determinants of health, directly reducing emergency hospital admissions and public healthcare costs.
4. 300 Million Global Jobs Pipeline: High-value employment across software engineering, clinical research, data science, and community health navigation.

Call to Action for Mayors & Regional Governors
