We are delighted to welcome Revd. Nick Mottershead as a WHIS Ambassador.
Nick serves as Rector (Self-Supporting) of Holy Sepulchre London, the largest church in the City of London, known as The National Musicians’ Church and home to the Royal Fusiliers Chapel. Alongside his ministry, Nick is CFO & Head of Compliance at dopay, an international fintech supporting the employed unbanked across the Middle East, with responsibility for finance, treasury, regulation, risk, and compliance.
Nick is also the founder and coordinator of the GenerosCity initiative, including the City of London Hygiene Bank, which supports over 20,000 families across London schools, agencies, and charities — having distributed more than £1 million in donated products to those in need.
With over 15 years at Ernst & Young (EY), where he trained as an accountant and went on to build and lead the firm’s global risk and governance practice, Nick brings deep expertise in governance, ethics, and leadership. He has also served as CEO, CFO, COO, and Chair across technology and media businesses, and has raised more than £1.5 million for church and community initiatives.
Ordained as a self-supporting priest, Nick uniquely integrates theology, leadership, governance, and community stewardship. He serves in chaplaincy roles as Honorary Chaplain to the Royal Fusiliers and to the Worshipful Company of Fuellers, and is widely published and sought after as a speaker on governance, ethics, wellbeing, belonging, and flourishing in public and corporate life.
Nick’s passion for exploring what it means to live and work with faith in the City drawing afresh on Scripture to speak into leadership, culture, and community aligns powerfully with WHIS’ mission to enable thriving communities for better health and wellbeing.
