We are delighted to announce that Ashleigh Carter has joined the World Health Innovation Summit (WHIS) team as our new Ambassador for Nature.
Ashleigh is a Film & Television student at Teesside University and a correspondent for Planet Forward—an organization that publishes environmental and scientific stories through student journalists. Driven by a passion for protecting wildlife and the natural world, she uses creative storytelling to inspire communities, raise awareness about critical conservation issues, and highlight the essential connection between a healthy environment and human wellbeing.
Her collaboration with WHIS began after hosting an insightful podcast session on social green prescribing and nature prescribing with WHIS CEO Gareth Presch. Ashleigh’s dedication to environmental storytelling aligns directly with WHIS’s commitment to advancing global health and sustainable development.
In her advocacy role as WHIS Ambassador for Nature, Ashleigh will participate in upcoming WHIS engagements, contribute to public speaking opportunities, and lead efforts to increase awareness surrounding nature prescribing and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
