Welcoming Jim D’Alfonso as WHIS Global Ambassador for the USA
We are thrilled to announce that Jim D’Alfonso, DNP, RN, PhD(h), NEA-BC, FNAP, FAAN, has joined the World Health Innovation Summit (WHIS) family as our Global Ambassador for the United States.
Jim brings over 40 years of experience in nursing, healthcare leadership, and academic excellence. Currently, he serves as Executive Director of Professional Excellence and the Kaiser Permanente Scholars Academy at Kaiser Permanente Northern California Regional Patient Care Services, where he provides strategic, operational, and fiscal leadership for multiple professional development initiatives. Jim’s work spans nursing leadership development, research and innovation, mental health, and allied health education, with a focus on ensuring nurses remain at the forefront of clinical excellence.
As an adjunct faculty member at the University of San Francisco School of Nursing and Health Professions and associate editor for Nursing Administration Quarterly, Jim continues to elevate nursing scholarship and practice on a national and global scale. His leadership in launching and growing the KP Scholars Academy, along with his dedication to Caring Science and nurse engagement, makes him a perfect partner for WHIS as we expand our global mission.
