Welcoming Raquel Magano: New Chapter Lead for WHIS Portugal (Central Region)
We are delighted to announce that [Raquel Maganohas joined the World Health Innovation Summit (WHIS) team as the new Chapter Lead for the Central Region of Portugal.
Raquel is exceptionally well-suited to lead the chapter, holding a Master’s degree in Health Education with a dual background from the Faculties of Medicine and Psychology of the University of Porto. Her academic journey is characterized by methodological rigor, with expertise in mixed methodologies and data analysis (including SPSS) to decipher and improve health outcomes. She specializes in the translation of scientific evidence, focusing on health literacy, health education, and communication in health.
Beyond her role as an invited lecturer at the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Lisbon, Raquel is a dedicated volunteer in health literacy and integration for OVA, an NGO providing medical care in Equatorial Guinea, where she advises the Director for Development and International Cooperation.
Her commitment to our core mission is clear. As she recently shared, her hope is that “together we can make social prescribing the path to better health and well-being.” We look forward to Raquel’s rigorous and dynamic leadership in expanding the reach of social prescribing and driving health innovation across the Central Region of Portugal.
Welcome aboard, Raquel!
