Jemba Micheal Senkole is a passionate youth empowerment and healthcare rights advocate who has dedicated his life to promoting the well-being and rights of young people across Africa. Currently serving as the General Secretary at Public Health Interest Group Africa, Jemba is committed to championing policies and initiatives that empower youth and promote their inclusion in decision-making processes.
Born and raised in Uganda, Jemba has always been driven by a deep desire to create positive change in his community. He is a a pre-intern Doctor from Kampala International University, where he honed his leadership and project management skills.
Over the years, Jemba has gained extensive experience working with local and international organizations to advance youth empowerment and healthcare rights advocacy. He is serving as an African United Nations Youth Fellow in Uganda, leveraging his expertise to develop strategies and programs that promote youth inclusion in governance and decision-making.
Jemba is also a global youth ambassador with TheirWorld, a leading non-profit organization that works to ensure that every child has access to quality education and healthcare. Through his work with TheirWorld, Jemba has been instrumental in advocating for policies and initiatives that prioritize the health and well-being of young people across Africa and currently works with the Education and Health Taskforce under Theirworld.
In recognition of his outstanding leadership skills and commitment to youth empowerment, Jemba was selected as a member of the Millennium Fellowship Class of 2022, a prestigious leadership development program that brings together young leaders from around the world to tackle global challenges.
With his deep passion for youth empowerment and healthcare rights advocacy and a special interest in public health and climate change. Jemba continues to inspire and lead a new generation of African leaders who are committed to creating positive change in their communities.
