World Health Innovation Summit and WifOR Institute Announce Strategic Partnership to Measure Health Impacts from Prevention
Berlin, Germany – April 10th 2025 — The World Health Innovation Summit (WHIS) and WifOR Institute, a global leader in health economics and impact research, are proud to announce a new strategic collaboration to advance the measurement of health outcomes through preventative care and innovation.
This partnership aims to develop robust frameworks and real-world metrics to quantify the social, economic, and clinical impact of prevention-based healthcare interventions. Together, WHIS and WifOR will support health systems, policymakers, and investors with evidence-based insights that strengthen decision-making and accelerate the transition towards sustainable, value-based healthcare.
Gareth Presch, Founder and CEO of WHIS, stated: “At WHIS, our mission is to co-create healthier communities through innovation and prevention. Working with WiFOR, we will be able to demonstrate the tangible value of prevention—economically, socially, and medically. This is about investing in what works for people and the planet.”
Prof. Dr. Dennis Ostwald, CEO of WifOR Institute, added: “Our collaboration with WHIS represents a pivotal step towards shaping a future where prevention is not just a concept, but a measurable and actionable part of every healthcare strategy. By applying our Health Economy Reporting and Social Impact Measurement expertise, we will bring greater transparency and accountability to the value of preventative health.”

- Evaluating real-world health innovation pilots across Europe and globally.
- Publishing data-driven reports to inform policy and investment in prevention.
- Supporting cities and regions in demonstrating the return on investment (ROI) of health and wellbeing initiatives. This collaboration is set to launch with pilot projects in Germany****, the United Kingdom, Italy, Ireland and the ****Netherlands, aligning with WHIS’s upcoming activities and WifOR’s health economics research programs.
