Following the incredible success and inspiration of our recent 2025 awards ceremony, the Global Social Prescribing Alliance (GSPA) is thrilled to officially announce that nominations are now open for the 2026 Global Social Prescribing Impact Awards!
At GSPA, our core purpose remains unchanged: we are here to celebrate the extraordinary individuals, teams, and organizations that are driving health equity, innovation, and community-led social prescribing initiatives worldwide.
The power to transform health and wellbeing lies within our communities. If you, your team, or someone you know is breaking down barriers, co-producing solutions, and proving that healthcare goes far beyond medicine alone, we want to hear your story.
🏅 The 2026 Award Categories
We are seeking nominations across five distinct categories that represent the full spectrum of social prescribing excellence:
- Innovation Award: Recognizing pioneering approaches, new methodologies, and digital health technologies that elevate person-centered care.
- Connector Award: Celebrating the masters of cross-sector collaboration—those building the essential networks between health, social care, culture, and community.
- Researcher/Research Team Award: Honoring the academic and clinical trailblazers who are strengthening the evidence base and evaluating outcomes to shape policy.
- Student Champion Award: Highlighting the emerging leaders, advocates, and students who are driving social prescribing education forward.
- Change Maker Award: Recognizing exceptional, long-term leadership and advocacy that has directly transformed lives and advanced health equity.
📋 What the Judges are Looking For
All submissions will be strictly evaluated by our international panel using a verified 30-point matrix. To stand out, nominations must provide clear evidence of:
- Measurable Impact & Outcomes: Demonstrable improvement in the health, wellbeing, or resilience of individuals and communities.
- Innovation & Creativity: Fresh, forward-thinking solutions to local or systemic healthcare challenges.
- Collaboration & Partnership: Authentic multi-sector engagement and co-production with grassroots communities.
- Leadership & Advocacy: Thought leadership that inspires others and champions the value of social prescribing.
- Equity & Inclusion: Inclusive, culturally responsive practices that explicitly address health inequalities and reach underserved populations.

- How to Enter: Self-nominations and third-party nominations are both warmly welcomed from individuals, networks, and institutions worldwide.
- Submission Deadline: July 1, 2027
